Trapezoidal profiles

Not every color is automatically available in every sheet thickness or for every trapezoidal profile. Availability depends on the respective profile type, material thickness, and the chosen surface. For projects with special color requirements, we recommend an individual consultation so that the profile, sheet thickness, and color can be optimally combined. In addition, a color chart is available for download.

No, the following information is sufficient for a quote:

  • Quantity or size of the roof or wall
  • Profile type
  • Sheet thicknesses
  • Color
  • Area of application (roof or wall)

Alternatively, a sketch or plan can also be submitted. The final parts list is only required when placing the order.

The required quantity is calculated based on the roof or wall area and the effective cover width of the respective trapezoidal profile.
Important factors are:

  • Length of the area (corresponds to the length of the trapezoidal sheets)
  • Profile type and cover width
  • Width of the roof (to determine the number of sheets depending on the cover width of the profile)
  • Possible waste or reserve sheets

An exact calculation helps to avoid material losses.

When installing corrugated sheet metal on the wall, a lateral overlap of at least one corrugation is recommended to ensure secure tightness and a stable connection of the corrugated sheets. On the roof, 2 corrugation crests must be overlapped in the longitudinal overlap. This reduces the construction width by 76mm to 988mm.

The exact overlap can vary depending on the area of application (wall or roof) and the load. Accessories such as profile fillers and sealing tape additionally improve the sealing of the joints.

Taborsky trapezoidal profiles are available made to measure and can be produced in individually manufactured lengths. This allows large areas to be realized with few joints and reduces installation effort. The lengths of the trapezoidal profiles can be up to 24 meters. However, the maximum lengths are specified for each profile.

Taborsky trapezoidal profiles are available in a large selection of colors. In addition to numerous RAL colors, wood-effect, stone-effect, and Corten-effect colors are also available on galvanized and coated materials. This allows trapezoidal profiles to be visually adapted to the roof, facade, and existing buildings.

No. An anti-condensation coating (fleece on the underside) is not applied as standard on all trapezoidal profiles.
It is an optional feature that is particularly useful for trapezoidal sheets in roofing applications for single-skin roofs to prevent condensation.

Trapezoidal sheet metal is an extremely versatile building material and is suitable for, among other things:

  • Roofs of industrial and commercial buildings
  • Facade cladding
  • Halls, warehouses, and agricultural buildings
  • Carports, outbuildings, and canopies

Thanks to different profiles, sheet thicknesses, and coatings, trapezoidal profiles can be optimally adapted to the respective application.

The substructure spacing depends on many factors, including:

  • Wind loads and/or snow loads that occur
  • Type of trapezoidal profile
  • Sheet thickness of the trapezoidal profile
  • Static system (single-span, double-span, or multi-span system)
  • Deflection limitation of the trapezoidal profiles (depending on the type of application)

Usually, these are production-dependent delivery times, which are announced on a project-by-project basis. As a rule, about 2-4 weeks.

Express production is possible on request!

The difference lies mainly in the area of application and the profile geometry:

  • Roof profiles are designed for the drainage of rainwater and snow loads
  • Wall profiles are used for facade cladding and are visually and structurally adapted for this purpose

However, many trapezoidal profiles can be used on both roofs and walls depending on the version. To do this, however, the coated side changes. For example, if the coating is on side B, it is a negative position and therefore a roof profile as an external covering shell. However, if the coating is on side A, it is a positive position and thus a wall profile.

When ordering, it is essential to specify whether the application is for a roof or a wall.

The effective cover width/construction width is the width that a trapezoidal profile actually covers after deducting the lateral overlap.
It is smaller than the total width and differs depending on the profile shape. The cover width/construction width is always decisive for material calculation. Cover width is a synonym for construction width.
